Measuring and Installation

Sliding Wardrobes Ltd cannot be held responsible for the ill fitting of our products as a result of customers’ mistakes when measuring. If any incorrect sizes were given when placing the order we must be informed in writing within 24 hours after the order has been placed.


We aim to dispatch all goods within 3-4 weeks of sending your order confirmation e-mail but during busy times it may take up a little longer. Generally, within week 3 our home delivery company will contact you to arrange a delivery day, normally during the following week. Broadly speaking, orders delivered in 3 -4 weeks.

Sliding Wardrobes Ltd cannot be held responsible for delays on deliveries incurred by external delivery companies.

Cancellation or postponement of agreed delivery – your product will be loaded in delivery sequence 24 hours before your agreed delivery day. Any cancellation or postponement after this time will result in your product travelling the country and then returning back to base, to await redelivery. This will result in an additional delivery charge of £60 + vat (£72.00), charged by our delivery company.

Any potential problems in reference to the delivery (e.g. low bridges, restricted access, lift only access to flats, excessive amount of stairs, or small stair wells to flats) should be made known prior to order. It is your responsibility to make sure that the driver can deliver to your front door without any chance of damage to himself or the product.  Couriers will deliver to ground floor only.

Cancellation & Returns

‘Made to Measure & Made to Order’ products can only be cancelled within 24 hours of your order confirmation e-mail, as the product will have been manufactured to suit your specific sizes, and thus cannot be returned.

How to cancel your order…

  • Contact us by e-mail on info@slidingwardrobeworld.com or by calling +44 (0) 208 123 8686 to obtain a ‘Returns Number’ (RN) within seven days of receiving your goods.
  • You will then need to make arrangements for the good to be returned to us with a suitable courier, at your cost.
  • After we receive the goods and are happy with condition of return, we will reimburse the order value or exchange as required. Unfortunately we cannot refund original delivery charges, and in the event of exchange we will require further payment to cover cost of re-delivery.

Damaged or incorrect goods

Our delivery company provide a room of choice delivery, as long as its safe to do so.  It will be the delivery drivers decision as to whether it is safe or not.  His decision is to avoid damage to the home, or home contents, the product or him/herself, and is final.  Examples of unsafe environments might be winding stairs or passageways, that require twisting of the product.  Please try to make sure all passage ways are clear.

As of January 2018 they also provide an unpacking and inspection service.  The delivery drivers will help you unpack and inspect the product to check for damage.  Packaging will be left with the product, so that you can still protect it before installation.  If you choose to decline this service for any reason, then any subsequent damage found after the drivers have left will be your responsibility, not theirs.

If you do find there are errors or damaged product, please do not wait for the delivery company to report this back to us.  Please call us direct within 48hrs of delivery, as this will start the correction process quicker. Any damage found outside of the 48hrs timeframe cannot be replaced free of charge. We cannot be held responsible for damage done during installation, or after delivery, but arrangements can be made to replace product at a reduced rate.

Product is provided on a supply-only basis, for DIY installation. If you are planning on having your product professionally fitted, then we advise that you do not book in a fitter until the product has arrived and been checked. I’m sorry to say that SWU cannot bear the costs of any delays due to damaged, missing, or incorrect goods.

Product which has been prepared for installation or previously fitted is deemed to have been accepted, and cannot be claimed against.  

Colours and Finishes

If you are in any doubt over a colour or a finish, please do not place an order. For the made-to-measure ranges, please contact us, and we can arrange a colour sample.

Please note that any technical data supplied on this website is for broad information only.  Sliding Wardrobes Ltd reserve the right to make temporary or permanent changes to these specifications, at any time and without notice,  as long as they do not significantly effect the aesthetics or quality of the supplied product.

10 Year Guarantee

All wheels, guides and running gear have been cycle tested to 50,000 complete cycles (open + close) with a door weight of 50 kg  and are guaranteed for replacement from 10 years of purchase date.  Please retain any proof of purchase.
